Golfinho Rescue marks an important milestone for the company and for aquatic rescue in Portugal with the installation of the brand’s first two Watchtowers in the country.
The first installation took place on 19 June, at Praia da Sereia da Costa Verde, in Vila Nova de Gaia, where a Senior Watchtower was installed. A few days later, on 26 June, a Junior Watchtower was installed at Praia de São Torpes, in Sines.
These installations represent a significant step in the modernisation of support equipment for lifeguards in Portugal, strengthening surveillance, safety and response conditions on Portuguese beaches.
The Senior Watchtower, installed in Gaia, stands out for its robust structure, high durability and ability to adapt to different coastal environments. Designed to withstand the demanding conditions of the maritime environment, it provides an elevated and privileged view of the beach, contributing to more effective surveillance and faster intervention in emergency situations.
The Junior Watchtower, installed in São Torpes, was developed for settings where mobility, quick installation and operational readiness are essential. Its structure allows for practical and efficient use, while maintaining the high standards of resistance and safety that characterise Golfinho Rescue equipment.
With these first installations, Golfinho Rescue reinforces its commitment to innovation in aquatic rescue and to the development of solutions designed to support the daily work of the professionals who ensure safety in bathing areas.
The Junior and Senior Watchtowers were developed to meet different surveillance needs and can be adapted to various beach configurations. Their design prioritises resistance, functionality, visibility and ease of installation, making them a reference solution for municipalities, beach management entities and aquatic rescue teams.
