Miguel Arrobas was elected president of the Portuguese Swimming Federation (FPN), succeeding António José Silva, who had completed his three-term limit at the head of the organisation. The election was strongly supported, with the list led by Arrobas receiving 91.5 per cent of the votes.
The new leader highlighted the broad support as a sign of confidence in the programme presented, whose priority is to strengthen Portuguese swimming and continue the work carried out.
António José Silva, who also heads the European Swimming Federation (LEN), leaves the FPN presidency after 12 years in office, recognised for his contribution to the sport.
Miguel Arrobas now takes on the challenge of taking Portuguese swimming to new heights, focusing on the development of athletes and clubs throughout the country.
