Golfinho Sports® renewed this week, at Jamor Swimming Pool Complex, the starting blocks platform, a work awarded by the IPDJ.
This now replaced platform has a height of 300mm above the water level. The upper part, whose depth can be 1 meter or 70 cm, is covered by a special plastic grid (ABS), joined on the inside by AISI-316 stainless steel tubes. This grid is continuously mounted and connected to each other, being placed and housed on a stainless steel frame that covers the entire width and depth of the platform.
The frame is assembled and secured by welding points, until forming modules of the same width as the pool lanes (2m or 2.5m), which are joined through a fixed support on the floor of the pool pier.
In this way, any movement of the pieces is avoided, guaranteeing greater rigidity and resistance throughout the platform that is fixed to the quay through a single piece.
In order to guarantee the safety of users, all parts are non-slip and the platform is coated around its perimeter with electropolished stainless steel tube with rounded corners. The upper part of the platform can be completely dismantled into 50x100cm or 50x70cm modules, in order to allow access to the interior of the platform as well as to the water return channel.
The frame includes built-in anchors for the placement of starting blocks, which are fixed with special screws that, in the absence of the starting block, have the function of hiding the anchor itself.
This platform intends to completely eliminate all types of supports and holes, whether for fixing turning plates and/or track supports.
